Pinching

Cedar brings a few memories to mind.  Like how The Mom and The Boy used to go for a walk around the block, and pinch some branches from a certain cedar hedge in the neighbourhood (which is still there, 15 years later)—just for sniffing as they walked along.  They’ve even used cedar branches/leaves for making Christmas cards, long before 3D cards were in style (The Mom used them again this year in her cards).

Cedar is great for staying green for a very long time after it’s picked, and its flatness works well for crafts.  But you have to keep pinching it, in order to get the fragrance to spill out again.  Something like people!

Thanks Boss, for good coming from uncomfortable things like pinchings.
