It’s getting to be the kind of days, where you’d better sit out on the deck and enjoy the morning, ’cause the rest of the day is too hot!

A verse in our Jonah reading this morning made us smirk.  Did you know, that when Ninevah repented, even the animals had to put on sackcloth? (It’s right there in chapter 3!)  Man! You’re not gonna catch me wearing burlap, or any kind of human stuff!

Well, unless it was really, really important… sometimes people just have a desparate need for a laugh.

“Mostly what God does is love you. Keep company with him and learn a life of love. Observe how Christ loved us. His love was not cautious but extravagant. He didn’t love in order to get something from us but to give everything of himself to us. Love like that.” (Ephesians 5:2)
