for all you nervous students…

Both our readings this morning had the same sort of theme!  It’s all about the plenipotentiary you can have against the demon Worry…

“Don’t fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns. Before you know it, a sense of God’s wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down. It’s wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your life.” (Philippians 4:6 & 7)

And from Psalm 34:

When I was desperate, I called out,
and GOD got me out of a tight spot.

GOD’s angel sets up a circle of protection around us while we pray.  [In fact, The Mom dreamt the other night, that people were trying to shoot at The Boy’s space ship, but it did not have any effect because of an invisible shield!]
Open your mouth and taste, open your eyes and see–how good GOD is.
Blessed are you who run to him.

Worship GOD if you want the best;
worship opens doors to all his goodness.  [emphasis ours]

Young lions on the prowl get hungry,
but GOD-seekers are full of God.
