A new season–did you notice?

The Mom has got to stop this noisome habit of neglecting lj, and getting distracted by other things!  She did take the time yesterday however, to update her prayer request & answer chart (private).  God has truly been answering prayer–The Freshman was home for the weekend and we all could see how much better he was eating, etc.  The next requests are for sleep, and… spelling!

By the way, if you want to see him “in action” (a little), he has a blog full of comments about the news, and he might get extra marks if lots of people check it out! (He can tell when people visit.)  Go:  http://stuffcollection.blogspot.com/  (Warning:  the opinions of the son are not necessarily the opinions of the parents! :D)

Meanwhile, the high temperature here for today is extremely unseasonable: 32 C (about 90 F)!  AND we’re expecting some “exciting” weather this afternoon (wind, storm).  But it IS Fall (it “came in” Sunday), and we have a kazillion beautiful Fall pictures, so maybe that will be our theme to work with for awhile!

The Dwarf Sunflowers is an annual we grew out front last year, but this year the thymes had spread so much that there wasn’t a lot of room–not a bad thing!  But any kind of sunflower is definitely a favourite, and they look great here on our dining room table beside the apple pitcher.

Speaking of Mother Earth putting on a “new wardrobe”… (segue) :-)

“Now you’re dressed in a new wardrobe. Every item of your new way of life is custom-made by the Creator, with his label on it. All the old fashions are now obsolete.  Words like Jewish and non-Jewish, religious and irreligious, insider and outsider, uncivilized and uncouth, slave and free, mean nothing. From now on everyone is defined by Christ, everyone is included in Christ.
So, chosen by God for this new life of love, dress in the wardrobe God picked out for you: compassion, kindness, humility, quiet strength, discipline.”
(Col. 3:10-12)
