colour, colour, colour!

This is the view from our front door, taken September 30th–see how the colours had begun already!  However, in the back yard, all the trees are still full of green leaves.  Except for the Mountain Ash (or whatever it’s called).

That there is our “mighty vehicle”… it was parked at the curb because it had just been for its annual rustproofing, and tends to drip oil for about a week afterwards.  Wouldn’t you know it, after spending that money on the rustproofing, Pappy & The Dad went and installed that new electronic thing you can get at Canadian Tire, that’s supposed to take the place of rustproofing.

The present addition to that scene, is the row of plant pots we had to put out, to “delineate” the driveway–make it narrower.  We didn’t spend a lot of money on it, since it was hinted to us that we wouldn’t have to keep them there, so the pots are rather unsymmetrical.  However, that problem was solved to a small degree by adding a fall leaf-branch (silk/fake) to each pot.  The bright orange colour really looks nice in with the green–which idea The Mom stole from seeing it in some expensive arrangements that she did not buy!

“You’re here to be light, bringing out all the God-colors in the world.” (Matthew 5:14)
