beat this!

Well, The Mom would like to show you how she has NOT been a flaneur, with all she got done yesterday!

  • had time to go slow in the morning, read scripture, consider lj, etc., until 9 am
  • got non-dishwasher dishes done
  • went grocery shopping
  • walked to the other end of the mall for dental floss
  • picked up the special-order Shop-vac, for The Freshman
  • stopped in at the church to make copies of the Lenten Project letter
  • unloaded groceries, then sorted out recycling stuff to put out for the next day, including a humongous pile of cardboard from the Spring-Cleaning that Pappy did of our garage (Yay Pappy!!!)
  • made lunch for The Dad
  • raked up leaves in the backyard
  • swept leaves off the deck
  • put groceries away
  • finally sat down to have her own lunch
  • looked over notes to lead part of Small Group on Friday
  • considered which craft to do for the grade 3 & 4 Sunday School
  • checked email, etc.
  • stapled Lenten Project reading list
  • baked special banana bread (with nut flour and dry curd cottage cheese)
  • made yogurt
  • swept/dusted two floors and stairs
  • made salad and heated up leftover Chili for supper
  • checked out how to put up the new outdoor Christmas lights
  • studied how to make little cardboard boxes from greeting cards

Now for some neat verses, which are especially appropriate because of all the funerals lately:
“And regarding the question, friends, that has come up about what happens to those already dead and buried, we don’t want you in the dark any longer. First off, you must not carry on over them like people who have nothing to look forward to, as if the grave were the last word. Since Jesus died and broke loose from the grave, God will most certainly bring back to life those who died in Jesus.” (1 Thessalonians 4: 13 & 14)

Yay God!!
