that “last enemy” again

Hope.  Be undismayed.
God hears your sighs and counts your tears.
God will lift up–lift up your head!
Through waves and clouds and storms,
He gently clears the way…
Wait ’cause in His time,
so shall this night soon
end in joy,
soon end in joy
Soon end in joy, soon end in joy
Soon end in joy, soon end in joy
Soon end in joy, soon end in joy
Soon end in joy, soon end in joy!

We like to keep the repetitions there, even in print, because there are times when you need to just say that over and over again.  For Lil, this is one of those times.  Her husband went through so, so much, with a very bad case of Crohn’s disease, before passing away yesterday at noon.  He was often very depressed and wouldn’t eat, and we certainly understand why.  His wife Lil, is a quiet, gentle person.  Oh God!  How little we know of difficulty & grief!

So, another Saturday, another funeral.  This is the fourth person (whose families we know) to leave this earth in the past 2-3 weeks!

And, we’re supposed to think about writing our Christmas letter?  (Maybe next week?)
