healing sunrise

Amazing grace I feel you coming up slowly now…
Like the sun is rising–heat on my face;
Oh Love that keeps on shining, don’t let the shadows come!
You know I gotta feel Your healing rays…

I’m sure we’ve posted those lyrics before, but they seem so perfect, in this season of clouds and shadows.  Do you ever use a song like this to pray over someone? Not in person (though that’s an idea I guess), but in your heart as you listen to the words (sing if you want!)  It may not be exactly what you are feeling, but you know someone else who is in that mood (or perhaps you hope they are!)  This one speaks of going from the “night” of guilt/conviction to the healing “sunlight” of forgiveness.

“Live wisely and wisdom will permeate your life; mock life and life will mock you.” (Proverbs 9:12)

“We implore you on Christ’s behalf:  be reconciled to God.” (2 Corinthians 5:20)
