keep it simple

Whew!  This morning we answered invitations/marked our calendar for:

  • a 25th anniversary
  • a 50th anniversary
  • a baby dedication
  • an end-of-season get-together
  • a product party

Yes, we’re going to them all (so far)!  AND, that’s not including two weddings (one we won’t make, the other we’re IN), and one 50th-Cottage Celebration!

So to balance off all this fun stuff, here are some serious words:

“…He is about to break into the open with his rule, so proclaim the Message with intensity; keep on your watch.  Challenge, warn, and urge your people.  Don’t ever quit.  Just keep it simple.    You’re going to find that there will be times when people will have no stomach for solid teaching, but will fill up on spiritual junk food – catchy opinions that tickle their fancy.  They’ll turn their backs on truth and chase mirages.  But you – keep your eye on what you’re doing; accept the hard times along with the good; keep the Message alive; do a thorough job as God’s servant.” (2 Timothy 4:2-5)

Walk to Rivendell:  As we reach the other side of the river, we can see a Black Rider on the west shore!

***EDIT:  That’s really weird–that pink HIGHLIGHTING came from nowhere!  Don’t even know how to get it off, beyond re-typing the whole thing… maybe it’s meant for someone? ;)
