how many things do we fail to complete?

The Mom wishes she could sit out under the awning all day, and listen to the rain!  It’s great music for sleeping to… the trouble is, as soon as you fall asleep, you don’t hear it anymore!

Aaahhh, the Joys of Summer!  Every so often it means getting the air conditioner on your vehicle fixed.  And weren’t we just in for an oil change+50,000 K-Service last week?  And weren’t we just saying to one of our friends that we sometimes wonder if they secretly break something, to make you come back and give them more business? :P

Anyway, that’s why we didn’t make our little bagatelle for yesterday.  (There’s been some neat Word of the Day‘s lately; after a long string of weird ones.)

So far we’ve been able to hold OFF turning ON the house air conditioner, but it looks like we’re in for some hot weather this weekend.  In the meantime, The Mom better get her baking done in the morning, while it’s still cool!  (She’s making Monkey Cookies today–banana peanut butter.)

“But you should keep a clear mind in every situation. Don’t be afraid of suffering for the Lord. Work at bringing others to Christ. Complete the ministry God has given you.” (2 Timothy 4:5)

Walk to Rivendell:  We have ARRIVED at Crickhollow!  So far we’ve travelled 73 miles!! (27 miles just on this third day)  But I think the going has been a little too easy–not the kind of thing you lose much weight by!
