*sigh*

(Edit:  we don’t really mean to say that calling God “she” is necessarily SIN… it just.. FEELS like it…)

In our daily reading this morning, Moses is reviewing the history of 40 years in the desert, before the Israelites go into the promised land.  God must have had the same feeling we do sometimes!  Like yesterday, as we noticed the “decline” of a world that wants to call God “she”… yet that’s only a sign of many other things that’s wrong with the world.  We think of Jesus sighing and saying “How long shall I be with you?”  It really makes one look forward to That Day.  And never mind losing patience with everyone ELSE–The Mom has that same feeling with herself, when she’s constantly giving in to temptation AGAIN and again!  Thank goodness–thank GOD–for the Hope we have… SOMEDAY, sin will be thrown into the pit!

Meanwhile, lets keep encouraging each other…

“Attention, Israel!

God, our God! God the one and only!

Love God, your God, with your whole heart: love him with all that’s in you, love him with all you’ve got!

Write these commandments that I’ve given you today on your hearts. Get them inside of you and then get them inside your children. Talk about them wherever you are, sitting at home or walking in the street; talk about them from the time you get up in the morning to when you fall into bed at night. Tie them on your hands and foreheads as a reminder; inscribe them on the doorposts of your homes and on your city gates.” (Deuteronomy 6:4-9)

Walk to Rivendell:  In the Old Forest, we’re coming up to the Bonfire Glade–there’s a clear path beyond.
