what we really are

Grrrr, I wish she wouldn’t DO that!  I’m all tense and waiting, ready to pounce–on that squirrel telling me off at the window–and then The Mom goes "BOO!"  Talk about SPOILING the moment!!  She says "sorry".  Sure.  Giggling all the while.

Oh, the Cinnamon Pineapple Muffins turned out quite good, even though the taste of the weird flours is there–just a bit.  The brown-sugar topping really helps to cover that taste, plus being warmed up in the micro.  Eventually The Mom is going to try that recipe replacing the sugar with honey, and the marg with oil.  And nuts!  Why doesn’t it call for nuts?  Ah well, in MY opinion, she should sprinkle cat treats on top…

I knew she’d washed the windows a little early this year.  Now she’ll have to do it again before it’s too freezing, ‘cos who wants to look at bird poop every morning?

We’re really liking The New Living Translation for this section of scripture that we’re into lately…

"For the word of God is full of living power. It is sharper than the sharpest knife, cutting deep into our innermost thoughts and desires. It exposes us for what we really are." (Hebrews 4:12)

Walk to Rivendell:  We’ve finally finished the ninth day since we left Bag End, having travelled 16 miles this day, for a total of 163 altogether.
