good thing we don’t have much to do today…

Whew!  I put The Mom back to sleep this morning, but ever since she got up, she’s been feeling like she just finished running a marathon!  (And "sleeping in" by the way, means 7:30 for these guys.)

So, working out a bread-making plan, she’s decided first thing in the morning (before coffee) is the WRONG time to be putting bread ingredients together… she ended up putting in the wrong amount of water, but "they’ll eat it anyway."  She’s been reading over the bread machine book, and can’t figure out why she hadn’t decided to use the rapid-rise idea before.  The other thing to figure out, is about making rolls, since she always has trouble slicing the bread evenly.  Sure, you don’t care about those things when it’s a treat, but if you want to start making it the norm…  So, the question is whether to use the regular bread cycle, or the dough/pizza dough cycle–assuming two rises might be enough?  We’ll see!  Once the normal, whole wheat-roll procedure is established, there are some neat other recipes to try.

How ’bout some wise words from Proverbs this morning? (Afternoon!)

" Put God in charge of your work,
then what you’ve planned will take place." (Prov. 16:3)

"We plan the way we want to live,
but only God makes us able to live it." (Prov. 16:9)

Walk to Rivendell:  We are entering the western edge of the Midgewater Marshes.
