OK, OK, so I got taken *blushes in embarrassment*… That livejournal announcement where they talked about the automatic cut-off at 140 words, and all the new things that made it sound exactly like Facebook? If you go back and click on "provide feedback", it says "APRIL FOOL"! Plus, the title is "Twitter + Facebook = OTP"; "OTP" apparently is some kind of programmer-insider joke, suggesting of course that lj is better than "those other guys". :P Our Resident Journalist Authority says that the "sweet spot" (length of reading that people prefer) is actually 250 to 500 words. Which is exactly what the Devotional Booklet readings are by the way–and generally what we do here.
Meanwhile we are getting an inordinate amount of rain right now. That Bathroom Guy may have trouble loading wall-board in this weather. Sure hope there’s no more jackhammer though–The Mom was hoping I hadn’t died of a heart attack after that! Speaking of which, he’ll soon be arriving, so I’d better get done here so that I can HIDE… a short one today, to give you a break!
Scripture chorus… here’s one that I think comes from both the New Testament, and a Psalm.
"I can run through a troop, Leap over a wall,
With Christ as my King, I have power o’er all–
Jesus is the Rock of my salvation,
Now there is no condemnation–
I can run through a troop, leap over a wall,
And a favourite quote from Max Lucado:
"On the eve of the cross, Jesus made his decision. He would rather go to hell for you than go to heaven without you."
