power in words

I haven’t been able to post all weekend, because Nanny & Pappy were here, and you know how I have to keep up the appearance of The Secret Cat. Not to speak of that D – O – G! o-O

The Mom is feeling relaxed about her things-to-do list, except that it’s time to clear away ALL the remaining Fall decorations (to get ready for Other decorations), and start on Christmas cards!

We didn’t get this Key Verse posted yet, to go with the Romans-notes–it is apparently the essence of the whole letter, the main idea being about the righteousness of God revealed through the gospel. And for this particular verse, there’s nothing like a more traditional version (NIV, in this case):

"I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile." (Romans 1:16)
