Isn’t that funny, 2 years ago we picked up the Trailer on the exact same day!
So this week is busy-time, finishing up the Midweek Kids, packing to go away for a week, and all the other things you have to do when you’re going away (mow the lawn, do an early laundry & grocery shop, etc. etc.) And get the guys out to their ham meeting tonight.
It’s going to be soooo lovely at Nanny & Pappy’s, out of this Big Smoke! I wonder if their lilacs are in bloom? The ones I usually pick from the hydro field near here are the later ones, but I did manage to nab a couple of fading blossoms from another spot–mmmmmmm!!!! God makes so many beautiful things!! The Lily of the Valley are almost ready for picking, the tree leaves are now out and sound amazing in a warm spring breeze, a robin is nest-building right in my window-view (in a spruce tree of all things!)… but I think Lilacs are my FAVE!!
In the midst of all this life though, some people still have to
deal with “transform” their darkness… (segue :P)
Once in a sermon, Dietrich Bonheoffer said, “Death is hell and night and cold, if it is not transformed by our faith. But that is just what is so marvelous, that we can transform death.”
“Commute my death sentence, God, my salvation God, and I’ll sing anthems to your life-giving ways. Unbutton my lips, dear God; I’ll let loose with your praise. “ (Psalm 51:14-15)
