DAY TEN (trust day)

(Wise Men 3)

-of not getting things done
-of missing something good
-of making a fool of myself
-of sickness—for my loved ones as much as for myself
-of global warming
-of getting old
-of harm coming to my child…
    -of a king’s murderous jealousy,
    -of a strange, unknown country.

Secrecy, hiding, escape.  Yet, can there be any reason not to trust, when Wise Men are carefully “returning by a different way”, and both wise men and simple men, have been directed by angels?

Make a list of your own fears, then go over each one and ask yourself: “What is the worst that could happen?”  Sing/listen to a song about trust. Just ‘give up’… *trust*!  God *can* be trusted.

This is a quote from today’s reading in my book “Grace for the Moment” by Max Lucado, about worry:
“…We worry that the world will end before the parking meter expires. We worry what the dog thinks if he sees us step out of the shower… Is Scripture teasing us when it reads, ‘He has put his angels in charge of you to watch over you wherever you go’? (Ps. 91:11). I don’t think so either.”
