The Mom found a few verses in her reading this morning, that really confirms things we’ve been talking about here. Remember how one day was about “a little”, another about “a lot”, and how these subjects are often opposites? Well, there’s a verse highlighting both good days and bad days; then another one talking about both sides of an issue—which also corroborates what The Mom has been reading in other places (EDWJ), about how Christians sometimes avoid facing reality.
“On a good day, enjoy yourself; On a bad day, examine your conscience. God arranges for both kinds of days So that we won’t take anything for granted.” (Ecclesiastes 7:14)
“It’s best to stay in touch with both sides of an issue. A person who fears God deals responsibly with all of reality, not just a piece of it.” (Ecclesiastes 7:18)
“Take a good look at God’s work. Who could simplify and reduce Creation’s curves and angles To a plain straight line?” (Ecclesiastes 7:13)
