Colour Contrast

Okay, next bush:  a small cedar.  “Cedar”… doesn’t that just bring to mind the aura of forest, outdoors, Christmas?  This one doesn’t look as “ever-green” as it should be, maybe its dull colour will improve when the weather does.  Speaking of colour in cedar trees though, they often have a light rust-colour mixed in with their green branches.  Since the rust is really dead “leaves”, you feel like picking them all away, to leave a clean, completely-green look.  However, if you step back and think about how well the two colours contrast and complement each other, you could easily change your mind!

Thanks Boss, for the reminder that useless-looking things often do have their purpose!
