The Mom has soundly corrected me about that idea of her summer holidays starting after the Last Leaders’ Meeting… meetings always make more work, she says. She loves the fact that her leaders are enthusiastic and come up with so many great ideas, but new ideas mean more organizing. Not really more work, because everyone chips in… but the organizing can sometimes seem like the hard part!
So I’m reminding her today of a verse that keeps coming back to her at times like these:
“Don’t be weary in well-doing… don’t give up… in time you will reap a harvest.”
And maybe it’s also time for that song that says (also quoting scripture):
“You do not faint, You don’t grow weary–
You are the Everlasting God!”
