• A cold, fluffy snowfall yesterday!
  • Our Small Group symbol this week is a snowflake.
  • This is the weekend we’re hoping to put up our Tree.
  • God shone a Full Moon on all those glittery snowflakes last night–totally magical!

And, heading into this Shopping Season, this morning’s scripture reading had this to offer:

“Give me a bent for your words of wisdom, and not for piling up loot.  Divert my eyes from toys and trinkets, invigorate me on the pilgrim way.” (from Psalm 119)

Finally, here’s a picture we took last night:

It’s not too flashy, but we used to have way too many lights for that small space.  The icicle lights kept breaking, so maybe they’re not too good for that new led-style.  Stakes are easier anyway; we were going to get those blue “twig trees” in a larger version, until we saw that we could stick them in plant pots to make them a little higher.  Plus, maybe we’ll get some nice greenery to stick in beside them.  So now the only thing using up power (to speak of), is that candle (the only non-led).

So, after vacuuming and scrubbing the wood floor all day, The Mom ALSO shoveled, sprayed 5 pairs of boots with waterproof spray (ruining her own boots in the process), and… got up at 5:30 this morning to go to the fitness club! (just because they were both awake)
