Oh my! It is SO wonderful, to hear those birds every morning now! And this morning we had some extra excitement–two brown rabbits chasing around, nibbling, and cleaning themselves as if they were cats! But The Mom and I had to chase them away before they chewed up our purple and yellow crocuses!
At the beginning of this week it was hard to believe those snowbanks would ever leave, but now there’s just one small spot, that The Mom keeps thinking is a piece of garbage she should pick up. Today’s rain should take care of that.
Even now it’s clouding and spitting a bit, but it’s supposed to go up to a whopping 18 C (about 68F)!! The Mom was so happy yesterday when she could actually sit OUTSIDE to eat her lunch–without even wearing any sort of coat or sweater! Of course, the outlook for the weekend is cold and rainy/snowy… just when they’ve planned to pack up most of The Student. He says he’s going to stick around rez right up until he writes his exam on Monday though, but we’ll see. He should do pretty well on it, since he’s spending this whole week just to study for that one exam; but then, he says they really packed a lot into that course, and that it should have taken longer just to cover it all.
Meanwhile we’re finishing up in Job, God’s “turn” to talk, and since we haven’t shared any “neat verses” for awhile…
“And who took charge of the ocean
when it gushed forth like a baby from the womb?
That was me! I wrapped it in soft clouds,
and tucked it in safely at night.
Then I made a playpen for it,
a strong playpen so it couldn’t run loose,
And said, ‘Stay here, this is your place.
Your wild tantrums are confined to this place.’ “ (from Job 38)
