Yikes! The thermometer in our back yard says ONE degree Celsius! That’s only one degree above FREEZING…but the furnace isn’t on yet! You see, being a townhouse with units on either side of us, helps keep us warm.
There are a couple more pictures left to show you–one is of a beautiful "parfait" dish of Nanny’s that The Mom stole from their garage sale, and the other is simply a begonia plant that’s doing well.
This was quickly thrown into a pot last year, for the Driveway-Narrowing row (to satisfy the by-law), and then brought inside for the winter. We’ve never really brought plants in before, but this one did really well all by itself–we’ll have to do it again!
Isn’t it beautiful? It’s got red (silk) flowers from our seasonal wreath in it for now, but The Mom has plans to eat ice cream out of it, with strawberries on top, next summer!
Now, we’ve been coming across a lot of neat verses lately, lets see if we can pick some out for you.
"Come, let’s shout praises to God, raise the roof for the Rock who saved us!
Let’s march into his presence singing praises,
lifting the rafters with our hymns!" (Psalm 95:1, 2)
"Light-seeds are planted in the souls of God’s people,
Joy-seeds are planted in good heart-soil." (Psalm 97:11)
"Shout your praises to God, everybody!
Let loose and sing! Strike up the band!
Round up an orchestra to play for God,
Add on a hundred-voice choir.
Feature trumpets and big trombones,
Fill the air with praises to King God." (Psalm 98:4-6)
Walk to Rivendell: On the 9th day of our travels (Oct. 1st), we head towards the eastern edge of the forests.
