The excitement is mounting, now that the tiles have been chosen and the date set for work to begin–this Thursday!! Rej & Cathie are quite impressed with the smarts of the their "Bathroom Guy": the way he explains about the various materials and how he does it, etc. He was actually a computer engineer years ago, with 120 people reporting to him; he’d been in the construction business to put himself through college, and decided to go back to it. Mind you, smart guys know how to convince you it’s worth a lot of $$$, too. Ah well, they’ve had problems with this bathroom since they moved in, and now it’ll last for eternity!
So today after part 2 of her root canal fix, The Mom is off with The Dad to pick up the new tub, paint, and downpayment. She is quite amazed that, even though she’d been looking forward to flipping through several styles/designs of bathroom tile, he only brought two–and she was very happy with one of them, the one he thought she’d choose. While it’s fun to have lots to choose from, the reality is that she usually does have trouble deciding, and often chooses something she wishes she hadn’t. So not only does our Smart Bathroom Guy know what he’s doing, he also has taste. And his wife is a stay-at-home mom, so that says something… ;)
Better get going on looking over tonight’s Marriage Course… busy day!
For choruses, we should move from the repeating ones, to the slew of songs that were actual quotes from scripture. (Modern ones tend to do both.) Like this one, that we used to love about 25 years ago:
"You shall go out with joy,
And be led forth with peace.
The mountains and the hills shall
All the trees of the field will clap their hands, (clap, clap)
The trees of the field will clap their hands, (clap, clap)
The trees of the field will clap their hands!
And you’ll go out with joy!"
