Today we want to share one of our verse-a-day emails with you.
Thoughts on today’s verse
So God likes to sing too! He even likes to share his lullabies with those he loves. Not only is God Abba Father, he is also like a mother. He gently rocks and quiets his children with his affectionate care.
O God, I pray that when the storms of life rage against me, I will remember these words and find refuge, comfort and peace in your sheltering care. Make me aware, O God, of your singing in my life as you make your salvation more clear to me each day. Through my Savior Jesus I pray. Amen.
The Mom’s "storm" today is the raging pain in her back! (after gardening yesterday, treadmill, AND walk!) She’s trusting that this will not keep her from the 5 k walk they want to do tomorrow.
On another joyful note, I think we told you awhile ago, that Sam was having a Crohn’s flare-up? Well, he went back on The Diet for just the weekend & cleared it up, and come Monday we waited with "bated breath" to see how long before it came back… but it hasn’t yet!! So that means that whenever he has a flare-up, it just takes a few days (of that very-limited diet) to totally fix it–yay! If he’d had to go back on it every few days, or for a prolonged length of time, it would have been back-to-the-doctor for him, to get some medicine. I guess if you catch it early, it doesn’t take as long to kill those gut-bugs; whereas if you don’t go on that diet, you just end up feeding them & multiplying them.
Walk to Rivendell: We continue on, though the going seems so slow, with Frodo injured.
