don’t try to get out of anything

We should make a quick post, ‘cos they’re off to get Sweet Girl today! (Get going, The Mom, I gotta go hide!)

A neat scripture we read this morning:

“You know that under pressure, your faith-life is forced into the open and shows its true colors. So don’t try to get out of anything prematurely. Let it do its work so you become mature and well-developed, not deficient in any way.” (James 1:3, 4)

And a neat quote (which is in no way related!): “The purpose of tithing is to secure not the tithe, but the tither, not the gift, but the giver; not the possession but the possessor, not your money but you for God.” (Anonymous)

OH, and you wouldn’t believe the silly things The Mom gets so excited about. Toronto is now recycling grocery bags, AND foam polystyrene! (Or whatever it’s called–you know, the styrofoam, foam cups, meat trays, etc.) She still can’t understand though, why they accept diapers, but not meat-tray LINERS, milk cartons but not waxed cardboard, and not wax paper!

Walk to Rivendell:  We’re thankful for a destination, as we plog along!
