if we could understand God, He wouldn’t be God

The Mom is rushing me to do a quick post, since she has to get busy at her menu & grocery list. This week is time for some advertising about Club House, at Daycamp, so she has to prepare for that–as well as drive out to a farm market to get strawberries! Serves her right for refusing to do any work last night… she was totally obsessed with working on her wedding pictures (30 years later!), and sitting outside to do it. Now we’re back to cooler & cloudier weather anyway.

How ’bout some Max Lucado? Thing is, I’m not sure if we’ve quoted this one already… if so, this is a TEST, to see if you’ve been paying attention! :P

“When God doesn’t do what we want, it’s not easy. Never has been. Never will be. But faith is the conviction that God knows more than we do about this life and he will get us through it.

Disappointment is cured by revamped expectations.”

(At any rate, it wouldn’t have been quoted exactly the same way.)

Walk to Rivendell:  On our 23rd day of travel, we’ve only gone 6 miles again, for a total of 380 miles.
