something funny

Boy, one could get kinda down…

  • if you look at the weather–rain stretching on for days and days;
  • thinking of Parents Not Coming as usual for Easter–poor Mom is sick!
  • remembering several others who are going through some difficult and serious physical ailments;
  • looking at the list of memorials for the Easter flowers, and the names that just should not be there…

Plus, Club House events these days are “slightly” depressing. I’m fine when I’m working directly with the kids in the small group, leading them to understand more about God (which will be my new focus in the Fall–the small group); but it’s the Special Event nights that remind me of all those who are no longer there, and of course I always had difficulty getting leaders inspired to think of ideas for events. Those who came with their own inspiration were wonderful! (*sniff*) Anyway, when the time for something is “up”, it always seems like a long wait for the official finish of it.

Some time with God’s people tonight, and the reminder that Nanny & Pappy will come soooooon, (with more Spring?), makes it better. And I’m going to copy something funny for you. Some of you have seen it already, but it’s so funny to me, that I want to make sure none of you miss it!

Deeper thoughts later!

    gotta keep this comment here, made on Facebook by Murray:
    “Yeah, all seasons come to an end (except this silly Winter, it seems) and those periods are sad. But just like Good Friday, Easter Sunday comes right around the corner, and that’s what it’s all worth waiting for!! Club House has had a GREAT run (and a TONNE of fun!!)!! What God is calling you to sounds FANTASTIC! and I pray that God will bless YOU and those in your care as you move forward with this in the Fall.”
