So, the decorating is all done… didn’t get time for last week’s “relaxing” activity, though we have certainly been relaxing this weekend with our Nanny & Pappy visitors! (Especially since Nanny, Sam & I have been WINNING at cards, for a change!!) And even if there hasn’t been time to work on the Christmas photos, we’ve been enjoying looking at them.
This week it’s time to lock myself away for a day, and get the Christmas Letter done! But the relaxing thing is to do my Christmas puzzles, yay! And of course, I just HAVE to find time to make some Pumpkin Applesauce Bread Pudding, for Sam & I to have for breakfast–MMMMMM!!!!!!
OK, time to start thinking about this week’s questions. You can choose between these two, or answer both:
What do you wish you’d done more of in 2011?
What do you wish you’d done less of in 2011?
Never mind Pappy’s answer–more exercising and less eating–think of something different! ;) (That should be my answers… we’ll see.)
For scripture today, I’m going to link you to a post I made 3 years ago–there’s an interesting reference to some verses in Isaiah, that talk about busy-ness. It fits well with the theme of Peace, and with Brian’s sermon yesterday (notes tomorrow), talking about taking time for your relationship with God (worship), in order to obtain that elusive Peace. Of course, my theme is sacrifice… ironically, I think the older versions of these verses refer to sacrifice (the physical kind) as being something God does NOT want. Because of the false/hypocritical attitude it’s given in, of course.
