whole and holy

I keep meaning to store this quote away here, but once I get jabbering on in a post, it never seems to fit. So I’m going to include it right away this time:

Dietrich Bonhoeffer once wrote: “Only he who believes is obedient; only he who is obedient believes.”

There! That’s that stickie-note cleared off my desktop! (Can you tell I’m a Mac user? That’s because I was obedient to my Computer-Experts… because I believe in them… ahem!)

I was feeling quite sore when I first woke up this morning, but at least some of that is from the strength training, which I do on off-days from the run-training. How I hate those Planks! (Which, for you uninitiated, is an exercise. :P) But perhaps it’s because I didn’t stretch enough afterwards.

(“I-I-I”!! Very bad writing, today!)

Today it’s time for more plant-shopping, gardening, and spotting the ladder while Rej trims the tree and clears the leaves out of the eaves. Notice how that comes after such a downpour as we had last night!

Oh, and I should finish preparing for the kids on Sunday.

“How blessed is God! And what a blessing he is! He’s the Father of our Master, Jesus Christ, and takes us to the high places of blessing in him. Long before he laid down earth’s foundations, he had us in mind, had settled on us as the focus of his love, to be made whole and holy by his love.” (Ephesians 1:3-4)
