Are we really moving? The subject seems to be only in our minds, for quite awhile now… Mind you, there are lots of things around here, and NOT around here, that remind us of the reality of it. But it feels like we’ve been living in Limbo for SO long!
Soon things will suddenly kick into gear. I’d said we had about one “do” going on each week, but next week there are a few things happening:
- appointment on Monday,
- Lunch on Tuesday,
- another lunch with my girlfriend on Friday,
- special Pot Luck Supper on Saturday,
- who-knows-where for Father’s Day!
Plus, on Grocery-List Day (Wednesday) I’ll be taking careful inventory of all the things we can use up (vs packing them). And I guess, not to leave out Thursday–that’ll likely be the last time for the regular cleaning-day!
Today, just for something different (but really it’s because we were getting far too attached to First Alliance Church), we’re going to an 11:15 service. Hopefully our stomachs won’t growl too loudly for lunch! (We’re used to eating at 11:30.)
“So come on, let’s leave the preschool fingerpainting exercises on Christ and get on with the grand work of art. Grow up in Christ. The basic foundational truths are in place: turning your back on “salvation by self-help” and turning in trust toward God;” (Hebrews 6:1)
