roll up your sleeves

Remember how I was talking about “the size of the task” a couple of days ago? (Oct. 25th) HA–now I’ve found a post I wrote a couple of years ago, where I said similar things about myself! It also talked about jobs the Tuesday morning ladies had been asked to do, etc. Man, that doesn’t seem like two years ago!

“So roll up your sleeves, put your mind in gear, be totally ready to receive the gift that’s coming when Jesus arrives. Don’t lazily slip back into those old grooves of evil, doing just what you feel like doing. You didn’t know any better then; you do now. As obedient children, let yourselves be pulled into a way of life shaped by God’s life, a life energetic and blazing with holiness.” (1 Peter 1:13-16)

It certainly is easy to “slip into laziness”, especially when you don’t feel like doing something…. like running, for example! But it sure does feel good to get it done. And this is what will help with the “life energetic”. ;)

Another thing that gives me energy, is dreaming about all the ways I can decorate my new home for Christmas… so many gorgeous windows to dress up tastefully!
